Abstract

This study aimed to develop an Integrated Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) module incorporating Qur'anic verses on ecosystem components and to examine its validity and practicality for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 157 Cakke. The study employed a research and development approach using the 4-D model, limited to the Define, Design, and Develop stages. The development process included needs and curriculum analysis, content and visual design, expert validation, revision, and a limited trial. Product validation involved two subject-matter experts and two religious-content experts, while the practicality trial involved one teacher and 17 fifth-grade students. Data were collected using validation sheets and response questionnaires and analyzed descriptively through a content-validity index and Likert-scale scores. The instrument achieved a content-validity index of 1.00. The mean validation score was 3.55 out of 4 from subject-matter experts and 3.75 from religious-content experts, both categorized as very good. Teacher and student responses to the module were also categorized as very good. These findings indicate that the Qur'an-integrated IPAS module on ecosystem components meets validity and practicality criteria for limited instructional use. Because the study did not evaluate learning effectiveness, further field testing with learning outcomes and broader samples is required.
