Mahaguru: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar is an academic journal devoted to the publication and dissemination of scholarly works in the field of elementary school teacher education and primary education. The journal serves as a forum for lecturers, researchers, teachers, practitioners, students, and education stakeholders to publish research findings, conceptual studies, literature-based discussions, reflective studies, and classroom-based innovations.
The journal welcomes manuscripts that discuss the theory, policy, and practice of elementary education, including curriculum and instruction, teaching and learning in elementary schools, child-centered pedagogy, educational media, classroom assessment, inclusive education, character education, literacy and numeracy, teacher professionalism, educational leadership, and innovation in basic education.
Mahaguru also gives attention to studies on primary education in remote, rural, frontier, and underserved areas, including teaching and learning practices in limited-resource classrooms, contextual pedagogy for geographically isolated communities, and teacher challenges in providing equitable and meaningful learning opportunities.

The peer-review process of Mahaguru is designed to ensure that each manuscript meets standards of scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and contribution to elementary school teacher education. Manuscripts are evaluated based on academic merit, relevance to journal scope, clarity of presentation, research validity, and usefulness for theory, practice, or policy in primary education.

Submitted manuscripts must be original works of the author(s) and free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, and other forms of publication misconduct.
Manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection software or other similarity-checking tools before proceeding to peer review. The editorial team evaluates similarity results by considering references, direct quotations, article templates, common terms, and properly cited materials.
If plagiarism or publication misconduct is detected, the journal may request clarification, return the manuscript for revision, reject the manuscript, withdraw an accepted article, issue a correction, or publish a retraction notice when necessary.
Mahaguru supports digital preservation and long-term accessibility of published scholarly content. Journal content may be preserved through institutional repositories, indexing systems, metadata storage, digital archiving services, and preservation mechanisms available through the Open Journal Systems platform.
Authors, libraries, institutions, and readers are encouraged to preserve bibliographic metadata and published article files for lawful scholarly, educational, and archival purposes, provided that the original publication source is properly acknowledged.

However, authors must use such tools responsibly, transparently, and ethically.
