1. General Principles
Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in all stages of publication. The journal upholds integrity, transparency, fairness, academic responsibility, and respect for scholarly work. All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, are expected to follow responsible publication practices and avoid all forms of misconduct.
2. Ethical Standards for Authors
- Originality: Authors must submit only original manuscripts and must ensure that the work has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Accuracy: Authors should present research findings honestly, clearly, and accurately without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation of data.
- Proper Citation: Authors must appropriately acknowledge all sources, ideas, data, and prior works used in the manuscript.
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made significant scholarly contributions to the work should be listed as authors.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors should disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the work.
- Ethical Research Practice: Research involving human participants, institutions, or sensitive data must be conducted in accordance with ethical and institutional requirements.
3. Ethical Standards for Editors
- Fair Evaluation: Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, relevance, originality, and clarity.
- Confidentiality: Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related communications.
- Impartiality: Editorial decisions must not be influenced by race, gender, institutional affiliation, nationality, religion, or political belief.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors should avoid handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
- Integrity of the Record: Editors should take appropriate action when publication misconduct is suspected, including correction, clarification, or retraction if necessary.
4. Ethical Standards for Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others without permission.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted fairly, objectively, and with clear academic reasoning.
- Constructive Feedback: Reviewers should provide useful and respectful comments that help improve the manuscript.
- Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant uncited works and inform the editor of possible overlap with other publications.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should decline review assignments when a conflict of interest exists.
5. Plagiarism, Redundancy, and Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, or any other form of academic misconduct.
Manuscripts suspected of containing unethical practices may be rejected, returned for clarification, or investigated further by the editorial team. If misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.
6. Correction, Retraction, and Editorial Action
When significant errors or ethical concerns are identified, the editorial team will evaluate the matter carefully and may take appropriate editorial action.
Editorial action may include revision requests, clarification notices, corrections, retractions, or the removal of content in accordance with ethical publishing standards and the severity of the case.
