Motivation of Physical Education Students to Use TikTok Social Media to Learn Basic Basketball Techniques
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) students from the Class of 2025 were more motivated to learn basic basketball techniques when using the social media platform TikTok. The study was conducted within the PJKR Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University Luwuk, between March 7 and March 21, 2026. A survey method using questionnaires for data collection was employed, involving 36 students from the PJKR Class of 2025. A saturated sampling technique was used to gather the data. The study found that 39% of the PJKR Class of 2025 students were motivated to use TikTok to learn basic basketball techniques; the majority of students were able to increase their motivation to do so.
