Journal Al-Mirah: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam

1. General Submission Policy

Journal Al-Mirah publishes scholarly articles in the field of Islamic Religious Education. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal, publisher, or publication platform.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is academically sound, ethically prepared, relevant to the journal’s focus and scope, and submitted through the official journal management system.

2. Scope of Manuscripts

The journal welcomes manuscripts related to Islamic education and associated interdisciplinary studies. Relevant contributions may include:

  • Islamic Religious Education
  • Curriculum and instructional development
  • Teaching methodology and learning strategies
  • Educational evaluation and assessment
  • Character education and Islamic values
  • Pesantren and madrasah studies
  • Religion, culture, society, and contemporary issues in Islamic education
3. Types of Articles
  • Research Articles
    Empirical studies presenting original data, analysis, findings, and implications in Islamic Religious Education.
  • Conceptual Articles
    Papers that develop theoretical perspectives, conceptual arguments, or critical academic discussions relevant to the field.
  • Literature-Based Studies
    Scholarly reviews synthesizing prior studies and identifying trends, gaps, and directions for future research.
4. Manuscript Structure

Authors are encouraged to prepare manuscripts using the following general structure:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) Name
  3. Affiliation and Email Address
  4. Abstract
  5. Keywords
  6. Introduction
  7. Literature Review (if applicable)
  8. Method
  9. Results and Discussion
  10. Conclusion
  11. Acknowledgment (if applicable)
  12. References
5. Title, Author Information, and Abstract
  • The title should be concise, specific, and informative.
  • Author names should be written clearly, followed by institutional affiliation and email address.
  • The abstract should summarize the problem, objective, method, main findings, and conclusion.
  • Authors should provide 3 to 5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
6. Formatting and Layout

Manuscripts should be prepared in a clear and consistent academic format using the official journal template. In general:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Layout: single column
  • Language: Indonesian or English
  • Font, spacing, margins, and heading style must follow the official template
  • Authors should maintain consistency in headings, numbering, tables, and paragraph style
7. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

Tables, figures, images, charts, and other illustrations must be relevant, clear, and properly referred to in the manuscript text.

  • Each table and figure must have a number and title/caption.
  • Images should be of sufficient quality for publication.
  • Authors are responsible for securing permission for copyrighted content when required.
8. Citation and References

All sources cited in the manuscript must be included in the reference list, and all references listed must appear in the body of the manuscript.

  • Authors must use a consistent citation style throughout the manuscript.
  • The use of reference management tools is strongly encouraged.
  • References should prioritize relevant, credible, and recent scholarly sources.
9. Ethical Standards and Originality

Authors must uphold academic integrity and publication ethics. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or other unethical practices will not be accepted.

  • The manuscript must be original and ethically prepared.
  • Authors must properly acknowledge all sources and contributors.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the content and integrity of the manuscript.
10. Submission Checklist
  • The manuscript fits the journal’s scope.
  • The manuscript follows the official journal template.
  • Title, abstract, keywords, and references are complete.
  • All tables and figures are complete and cited in the text.
  • The manuscript has been proofread before submission.
  • The file is ready to be uploaded through OJS.
