Editorial Policies
Journal Al-Mirah: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is committed to maintaining editorial independence, scholarly quality, transparency, fairness, and academic integrity throughout the publication process. All manuscripts are evaluated on the basis of academic merit, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, clarity of presentation, methodological adequacy, and contribution to the development of Islamic Religious Education.
Editorial decisions are made without discrimination based on gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal background. The editorial team reserves the right to accept, request revision, or reject a manuscript in accordance with the journal’s academic standards, peer review recommendations, and ethical considerations.
Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Journal Al-Mirah undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its compatibility with the journal’s focus and scope, formatting requirements, and basic ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass this preliminary stage are forwarded to reviewers with relevant expertise in Islamic education or related fields.
The journal applies a peer review process to assess the originality, relevance, scholarly contribution, clarity, and methodological quality of each submission. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial decision may fall into one of the following categories:
- Accept without revision
- Accept with minor revision
- Accept with major revision
- Reject
Publication Ethics
Journal Al-Mirah expects all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, to uphold ethical academic conduct. Authors must submit original work, accurately present arguments and findings, acknowledge all relevant sources, and avoid plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabrication, falsification, and inappropriate authorship practices.
Editors are responsible for making fair, objective, and confidential editorial decisions, while reviewers are expected to provide constructive, scholarly, and timely evaluations. When ethical concerns arise, the journal reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate editorial action, including correction, withdrawal, or retraction when necessary.
Plagiarism Check
All submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software and/or manual editorial review to identify textual overlap, unattributed copying, duplicate publication, or other forms of unethical similarity.
Manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism, self-plagiarism, fabricated references, or inappropriate textual reuse may be rejected immediately or returned to the author for clarification and revision. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original and properly referenced.
AI Policy & Declaration
Authors may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools only as limited support for language editing, grammar refinement, formatting assistance, or preliminary organization of ideas. AI tools must not replace the author’s own intellectual contribution, interpretation, analysis, argumentation, or scholarly judgment.
If generative AI or AI-assisted tools are used in preparing the manuscript, authors must clearly disclose such use at the time of submission. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical suitability of the manuscript.
During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [name of AI tool/service] for [specific purpose]. The author(s) reviewed, revised, and take full responsibility for the final content of the manuscript.
Open Access Policy
Journal Al-Mirah provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making scholarly work freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of the articles for lawful academic purposes.

Journal Al-Mirah is published twice a year. The journal maintains a regular publication schedule to ensure consistency in the dissemination of scholarly works in the field of Islamic Religious Education.
Each issue is published according to the journal’s editorial calendar and includes manuscripts that have successfully passed editorial screening, peer review, revision, and production stages. This publication frequency supports timely academic communication while maintaining the quality and integrity of the journal.
