Maspul Journal of Community Empowerment (MJCE)

1. General Submission Policy

Maspul Journal of Community Empowerment (MJCE) publishes scholarly articles based on community service programs, empowerment initiatives, and community-based interventions. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publisher.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is academically sound, ethically prepared, and relevant to the journal’s scope. All submissions must be made through the journal’s official OJS platform.

2. Scope of Manuscripts

The journal welcomes articles derived from community service activities and community empowerment programs in various sectors. Relevant contributions may include:

  • Application of appropriate technology
  • Training, workshop, counseling, and mentoring programs
  • Community-based education and literacy development
  • Social, economic, health, and environmental empowerment
  • Institutional strengthening and community partnership models
  • Innovation and sustainable development in community engagement
3. Types of Articles
  • Community Service Articles
    Reports of community service implementation, methods, outcomes, impact, and follow-up.
  • Empowerment Model Articles
    Articles presenting models, strategies, or innovations in community empowerment.
  • Best Practice Articles
    Articles that document transferable lessons, practical implications, and measurable outcomes of community engagement programs.
4. Manuscript Structure

Authors are encouraged to prepare manuscripts using the following structure:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) Name
  3. Affiliation and Email Address
  4. Abstract
  5. Keywords
  6. Introduction
  7. Method of Implementation
  8. Results and Discussion
  9. Conclusion
  10. Acknowledgment (if applicable)
  11. References
5. Title, Author Information, and Abstract
  • The title should be concise, specific, and informative.
  • Author names should be written clearly, followed by institutional affiliation and email address.
  • The abstract should summarize the background, objective, method, results, and conclusion.
  • Authors should provide 3 to 5 keywords relevant to the manuscript.
6. Formatting and Layout

Manuscripts should be prepared in a clean and consistent academic format using the official journal template. In general:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Layout: single column
  • Language: Indonesian or English, depending on journal policy
  • Font, spacing, and heading style should follow the official template
  • Authors should ensure consistency in headings, numbering, and paragraph style
7. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

Tables, figures, photos, and other illustrations must be relevant, clear, and properly cited in the text.

  • Each table and figure must have a number and title/caption.
  • Images should be of sufficient quality for publication.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted images or materials.
8. Citation and References

All sources cited in the manuscript must be listed in the reference section, and all items in the reference section must be cited in the text.

  • Authors should use a consistent citation style throughout the manuscript.
  • The use of reference management software is strongly encouraged.
  • References should prioritize relevant, recent, and credible academic sources.
9. Ethical Standards and Originality

Authors must uphold publication ethics and academic integrity. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, or other unethical practices will not be accepted.

  • The manuscript must be original and ethically prepared.
  • Authors must properly acknowledge all sources and collaborators.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript.
10. Submission Checklist
  • The manuscript fits the journal’s scope.
  • The manuscript follows the journal template.
  • The title, abstract, keywords, and references are complete.
  • All tables and figures are complete and cited in the text.
  • The manuscript has been proofread before submission.
  • The manuscript is ready to be uploaded through OJS.
