Journal of Local Wisdom in Primary Education

Journal of Local Wisdom in Primary Education welcomes original scholarly contributions in the field of primary education, especially those related to local wisdom, contextual learning, indigenous knowledge, culture-based pedagogy, and educational innovation. Authors are expected to prepare manuscripts carefully and professionally in accordance with the following guidelines in order to support a rigorous, ethical, and efficient publication process.

1. General Requirements

Manuscripts submitted to this journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal or publisher. The journal accepts research articles, conceptual papers, and literature-based scholarly reviews relevant to primary education.

  • The manuscript must be written in clear and academic English.
  • The topic must be relevant to the journal’s aims and scope.
  • The submission should demonstrate originality, scholarly significance, and clarity of argument.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the content and accuracy of their work.
2. Scope of Manuscripts

The journal prioritizes manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of scholarship in primary education through the integration of local wisdom and contextual educational practice.

3. Manuscript Structure

A standard research article should generally be organized into the following sections:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Method
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. Acknowledgment, if any
  10. References
4. Title, Abstract, and Keywords
  • Title: concise, informative, and reflective of the manuscript’s core focus.
  • Abstract: presented in one paragraph containing the objective, method, principal findings, and conclusion, approximately 150–250 words.
  • Keywords: provide 3–5 relevant keywords or phrases.
5. Formatting Requirements
  • The manuscript must follow the official journal template.
  • Submissions should be prepared in editable Microsoft Word format.
  • Headings and subheadings must be used consistently.
  • Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and provided with titles or captions.
  • All illustrations must be clearly referred to in the main text.
  • Authors should check grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting carefully before submission.
6. Citation and References

Authors must apply a consistent citation and referencing style as required by the journal. Every cited source must appear in the reference list, and every entry in the reference list must be cited in the text.

  • Use recent and relevant scholarly references.
  • Prioritize articles from academic journals, books, and credible sources.
  • The use of reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended.
  • Ensure bibliographic information is complete and accurate.
7. Ethical Responsibilities
  • The manuscript must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • The manuscript must not be submitted to another journal at the same time.
  • All authors listed must have made meaningful academic contributions.
  • Any conflict of interest should be disclosed clearly.
  • Research involving participants must follow appropriate ethical procedures.
8. Submission Process
  1. Register and log in through the journal’s OJS platform.
  2. Upload the manuscript through the online submission system.
  3. Complete all metadata accurately, including author names, affiliations, title, abstract, and keywords.
  4. Upload supplementary files if required.
  5. Review all submission information before final confirmation.
9. Review and Revision

All submitted manuscripts will undergo editorial screening and peer review in accordance with the journal’s policy. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments and editorial suggestions. Revised manuscripts should be returned within the prescribed timeline.

10. Final Notes

Authors are strongly advised to read the journal template, publication ethics, editorial policies, and other related information before submission. Careful adherence to these guidelines will improve the efficiency of the editorial workflow and enhance the readiness of the manuscript for peer review and publication.
