https://jurnal2.unimen.cloud/index.php/MJCE/article/view/334
<p>The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the digital information ecosystem by enabling the creation and distribution of various digital contents. However, the emergence of generative AI has also increased the risk of digital disinformation, manipulated content, and misinformation, particularly among rural communities with limited critical digital literacy. This community service program aimed to strengthen rural communities’ AI literacy to improve their ability to understand AI technology, identify digital disinformation, and use digital technology responsibly. The program employed a participatory community empowerment approach involving 50 participants consisting of village officials, youth groups, women groups, and community leaders. The activities included needs assessment, AI literacy training, digital information verification practices, case-based learning, and mentoring. Program evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments, observations, and reflective interviews. The results showed increased participants’ understanding of AI concepts, improved ability to recognize AI-generated and misleading content, and greater awareness of verifying information before sharing it. The program developed an AI Literacy-Based Community Empowerment model integrating AI understanding, critical digital thinking, and responsible AI practices. This program contributes to developing critical, adaptive, and responsible digital communities in the era of artificial intelligence.</p>Hasan HasanAndi SadapottoAndi Atirah MasyitaSayyid Muhammad Yahya Al Mahdy

https://jurnal2.unimen.cloud/index.php/MJCE/article/view/345
<p>Tax literacy plays an important role in fostering responsible citizenship from an early age; however, its implementation in primary schools remains limited due to teachers' insufficient competencies and the lack of structured instructional models. This community service program aimed to disseminate the CERDAS Model (Observe–Explore–Reflect–Discuss–Act–Realize) to strengthen character-based tax literacy among teachers at MI Muhammadiyah Buntu Barana, Enrekang Regency. The program adopted a community empowerment approach consisting of needs assessment, model dissemination, instructional material development workshops, classroom mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The results demonstrated improvements in teachers' competencies in understanding tax literacy concepts, developing teaching modules, designing learning media, and implementing the CERDAS Model in classroom instruction. The program also produced teaching modules, student worksheets, interactive learning media, assessment instruments, and established a Tax Literacy Teacher Community to support program sustainability. These outcomes indicate that the program successfully strengthened teachers' capacities while translating research findings into innovative, contextual, and sustainable classroom practices in primary education.</p>Ismail IsmailRahmat RahmatArung GunawanFitri Aida Rais
